My favorite song~~~
My Favorite Song - Going Under by Evane Scence
"Going Under" was the second single from rock band Evanescence's first commercial album, Fallen. It was meant to be the first single, but the success from "Bring Me to Life" eclipsed the initial decision.
A very rare and hard to find demo version, with only a few minor — yet still noticeable — differences setting it apart from its Fallen counterpart, is available over the internet and peer-to-peer file sharing programs. The differences are mainly in the way Lee's voice was mixed, as well as the sound of the instruments. The beat and the general sound, however, are the same, just lightly altered (the vocals are also the same as those on the Fallen version).
The music could be heard in the credits of the video game Enter the Matrix. The music also features in the movie Tristan & Isolde (2006), and is played in the trailer.
--------------------------------------------
The song is about Amy Lee's relationship with an abusive boyfriend, but it can be used to describe any type of abusive relationship. Lee said the song is about emerging from a "bad" relationship, explaining "And when you're at the end of your rope, when you're at the point where you realize something has to change, that you can't go on living in the situation that you're in. It's cool. It's a very strong song."
Here's the lyric, enjoy it.
Now I will tell you what I've done for you
50 thousand tears I've cried
Screaming, deceiving and bleeding for you
And you still won't hear me
(Going Under)
Don't want your hand this time I'll save myself
Maybe I'll wake up for once
Not tormented daily defeated by you
Just when I thought I reached the bottom
I'm dying again
I'm going under
Drowning in you
I'm falling forever
I've got to break through
I'm going under
Blurring and stirring the truth and the lies
So I don't know what's real and what's not
Always confusing the thoughts in my head
So I can't trust myself anymore
I'm dying again
I'm going under
Drowning in you
I'm falling forever
I've got to break through
I'm going under
So go on and scream
Scream at me I'm so far away
I won't be broken again
I've got to breathe
I can't keep going under
I'm dying again
I'm going under
Drowning in you
I'm falling forever
I've got to break through
I'm going under
Going under
Going under
I'm going under
The song "Luka"
Luka, a song recorded by Suzanne Vega and released in 1987. The lyric is written from the perspective of an abused child, a boy, named Luka, who is evasive about what sounds are coming from his apartment. He eventually opens up, trying to understand what the situation is he face to.
The beat is briskly in the song, but the lyric does not...... I think what the singer want is to let us to understand the serious problem of child abuse.
I've also check on the internet to get more information about the song. I've found that Vega also recorded a Spanish version of the song in the studio, featured on the single.
Ok, if you like the song, remember to get the official version^^
